Fala Days In Warm Springs, Ga.
"Fala Days" began as a small celebration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s faithful and shaggy black Scottie. This celebration of FDR’s "best friend" has evolved into an annual gathering in downtown Warm Springs that falls on the first weekend in November. All-day festivities include a parade, bagpipers, merchants and vendors, street dances, and a Fala look-alike contest. (Muscogee Moms)
